THE MISSION SHOP In 2002 Mission World Aid opened a small shop situated in the Aldgate Shopping Centre, Aldgate, in the Adelaide Hills. The shop is west of the Post Office in the car park. It is staffed by volunteers.
The Mission Shop, Aldgate, South Australia The shop sells good quality second-hand clothing, bric-a-brac, household items and furniture. Finance from the shop has been sent to missions in India, Singapore, the former Soviet Union, Cambodia, Israel, Sudan, India, Mozambique and Australian Aboriginal communities. In addition equipment has been purchased for the shed where aid is stored, sorted and packed in containers. Some finance has been used to buy new supplies for the shipping containers. Good quality goods and materials are always welcome donations, however we are not permitted to sell second hand electrical goods.
